Ahoyyyyyyyyyyy

Wow....its been a long time since I've put some decent info down here. Sorry abt that people, I've been quite busy at the ARMy lately...BELiEvE it Or NoT!

So lemme give you a quick round up from where I left off..Oh wait before that I'm gonna explain what the LELEDONIA are.

The last month before a soldier finishes his army is prob the most exciting yet crazy month. Its the month he is with his LELE. Einai sta LELE tou. LELE is derived from the phrase...Trelenome Apoliome. TRELELELELELELELELELNOME!!!!!

Now what are the LELEDONIA? Or the LELEBIRDS as me and my team mates joke around with since I've taught them some English words.

The LELEDONIA are the birdies that bring the papers that say YOU ARE FREE TO GO! Go away away to your home and NEVER do army again! Yeeeahaaaa.. Now I feel good about this...but imagine the boys who do 12 months. Imagine how happy they would be! Yeh! So respect to those boys. My whole team did 12 months...watch them tear down their army clothes the day they finish.

If you want me to explain the feeling..I cant..well just a little. How did you feel when you finished MATRIC? We tore down our school clothes and ran around with sutff written on our white shirt and we ran around playing pranks on teachers. Well imagine that feeling mulitplied by 100. So yeh....good feeling hey?!?!

So....EIMASTE STA LELE MAS!!!

I can hear the LELE birds!

Anyways....what happened sonce Christmas...well before Xmas I went to Cyprus to spend time with my sister and her gorgeous baby girl and Christo. Aijajiajiaija is she CUTE or what!! Maria-Chrysi is such a cutie pie! Uncle Kosta is gonna bring her lotsa prezzies next time he comes from Africa. Watch this girl become the most intelligent hottie in the world! But yeh...watch out boys...you gotta get through her crazy uncle before you want to go on a date with her...20 year later..:D

We celebrated MC's 1st birthday..in style...there was even Smarties! Yay! Anyways...in the last few days in Cyprus I picked up a flu virues which took me out 1 TIME! For a week I was out. I had to go back to the base on the 22nd to pick up papaer for leave till 28 Dec. Now you ask me why I didnt spend Xmas in Cyprus.....coz the effing army didnt let me. They only gave me roaming permision for 6 days! So I had to fly back...being sick and all....just to pick a paper...then leave on an 1 hour bus trip to Athens where I spent Xmas in bed getting better. On the 28th I return to the base...so there I am and we spending our New Years inside! So what do I do? I pull out my laptop for a once off occaion...put on the Greek music and start dj'ying for the boys!!! So in the end...New Years was really cool! Compared to other soldiers' new Years. we were playing card games....enjoying good music....talking all night...we even went to cut the vasilopita etc. Dammit I almost won the flouri.

Anyways...yeh New Years was decent. The down side of being in during the festivities is that you do double duties coz people go on leave. So we've beein keopt in and out. Working our dutues on the double. Very tiring! But in this time where i spent full time in the base at the Company...I got closer to my team mates...we became friends..not just team mates. I taught them english...they taught me greek...I've discovered a whole new world of Greeklsih...and Greek swear words you'll ONLY find in the army...and in the Ioanina and in Thessaloniki! But yeh! its all good.

We're counting the days till we leave forever. Every morning someon sin our rom shout ins a Greek accent...Can you hear them Kep Taoun?(Cape Town) The LELE birds...they are coming. :D

So yeh...slowely we getting there boys and girls!

17 days left!!!
